Do you have any known history of the neurosurgery practice or programs in the state of Michigan?

MANS is asking anyone who has any interesting facts, historical articles, historical facts, history of medical schools, medical programs and hospitals on the practice of neurosurgery in Michigan, please email to admin@mansneurosurgery.org.  We are hoping to put together a history book of to celebrate the hard work of neurosurgeons in the state of Michigan and how it all started.

The Karin M. Muraszko Honor Your Mentor Fund was established to support leadership development in neurosurgery by providing mentoring and didactic opportunities for future leaders in our field. This award will serve as an outstanding tribute to Dr. Muraszko and her lasting impact on the field of neurological surgery.

Dr. Karin Muraszko has served as a role model for the next generation of neurosurgeons by providing exemplary care for her patients, volunteering in organized neurosurgery as a co-founder of Women in Neurosurgery (WINS), and pursuing research interests.

Please join us in celebrating Dr. Muraszko with a donation to the fund named in her honor.

    The Michigan Association of Neurological Surgeons invites you to join us August 26-28, 2022 for the 40th annual meeting at the Boyne Mountain Resort & Spa, Boyne Falls, Michigan. 

    The MANS meeting will commence on Friday, August 26 at 7:00 p.m. with a cocktail & dinner reception, followed by an informal, family friendly presentation. The scientific program will be from 8:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 27 and from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., on Sunday, August 28. MANS attendees will have the opportunity to meet with exhibitors several times during the meeting, and all MANS meeting attendees and exhibitors are invited to attend the Friday and Saturday evening social events, as well as the breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday morning. 

    SPECIAL EVENT:  Whiskey Blending on Saturday following Sessions.  Attendees and guests encouraged to register.  Only $60 per person.

    A block of rooms has been reserved for MANS attendees at a special rate of $220.00 per night for a well-appointed Parlor, Queen or King bed Guestroom or $245.00 per night for a one bedroom suite or $339.00 for a two bedroom suite.

    Mammoth Distilling will be conducting a blending experience during the MANS 2022 summer meeting. You will blend a custom bottle using Bourbon and Rye Whiskeys between 10 and 20 years old. You will come up with your very own unique blend that will translate into a 750ml bottle with a private label to take home with you. Due to the age of the spirits used, the bottle would retail at $135.
