2025 43rd Annual Summer Meeting Recap
On behalf of the Michigan Association of Neurosurgeons (MANS), we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us for the 43rd Annual Summer Meeting on Mackinac Island.
This year’s event brought together neurosurgeons, advanced practice providers (APPs), residents, medical students, spouses, and guests for a weekend of learning, collaboration, and camaraderie. We are especially grateful to our vendors for their generous support, which makes this gathering possible year after year.
A special thank you to our keynote speakers—Dr. Kevin Foley, Dr. Paul Park, and Dr. Elad Levy—for their outstanding presentations, along with all of our speakers and panelists who shared their expertise. The program also featured impressive resident abstract presentations, showcasing the innovative research and bright future of neurosurgery in Michigan.
The weekend was not only educational but also a celebration of connection and community. Highlights included the Welcome Reception on the Grand Hotel balcony, where attendees enjoyed breathtaking views and warm fellowship, and the memorable Saturday evening SipNSail Cruise, which offered networking against the stunning backdrop of the Straits of Mackinac. Our sincere thanks also go to the Grand Hotel and staff for their hospitality and support in making this meeting a success.
This year also marked a moment of transition and growth for our association. Dr. Aditya Pandey passed the President’s torch to Dr. Marc Moisi, who will lead MANS into its next chapter. In addition, the membership elected three new surgeons to the Board of Directors, along with a Resident Advisor and an APP Advisor seat. This expansion of the board reflects the continued growth of MANS and our commitment to representing the diverse perspectives that strengthen our community. We are excited to see the opportunities and progress the next few years will bring.
From the scientific program to the social gatherings, the 43rd Annual Summer Meeting reflected the collaborative spirit that defines MANS. We thank each of you for your participation and dedication, and we look forward to building on this momentum as we work together to advance the future of neurosurgery in Michigan and beyond.
